Quick Beg To Differ Bio :
The history of our band is as follows. Pay attention. Our band was made inJanuary of 2001 in a nice town named Austin. We got together, we played
together, we wept together. We like to practice on Friday, and the rest ofthe days of the week, we don't practice.Make sense? No? Shut up. Our lead
vocalist is a young handsome little devil who goes by the name of Joseph . Joey is oh so very cute, but he wont ever admit it.There is rumor that he
was born stoned. Not because he smokes alot mind you, but because he is completely and utterly insane. Our lead guitarist is the notorious mascot of Beg To Differ, known as Kirk, Kirkells, Kirk-a-cola, or any other dumb ass name you can come up with for him that wont piss him off. If you've ever been to one of our shows Kirk is the guy with the foot tall mohawk .Our bassist is a cynical bastard named Matt, we like him because he shows us
that you don't have to be cool to be a bassist. Our rythm guitarist is Jamie, the morals of the group. Jamie is around just in case one of us makes
a bad decision, he is a good guy except that he eats everything. He is a goat. The last member of our band is Russell, he is our drummer. If Russell
does have a personality, we wouldn't know. He simply just drums. Boom, boom.
We met in January of 2001, like I said, at a time where Joey and Matt(who
have been friends for a while at this time) were trying to start a band and
actually had a song they wrote called "American World", they became quick
friends with Jamie at their new school, Johnston. When Jamie came over to
Matt's house and heard their song, he liked it and recommended they team up
with his half a band to create one big band. ONE BIG BAND. One. not two
anymore. Nope. One. It turned out that the drummer, Russell, had known Matt
and Joey from elementary school(enter dramatic music). Anyway, they began to
get together every friday and churned out songs. Soon they had their first
show together at the Johnston LAA Coffee House. It was great fun. During the
beginning of April, Beg To Differ, a name that Jamie came up with after
listening to his favorite Green Day song, "Walking Contradiction" cut their
first cd. This EP was titled "Impending Doom". Although excited about it at
first, we soon became dissapointed with this recording because in a short
time we had vastly improved as a coesive unit, and as musicians and
songwriters. Soon after "Impending Doom", the band played at Westwood Stock.
Yes, impressive, i know, please hold your applause untill the end. Then they
played at Waterloo Icehouse, a full hour set. We went on after that to
improve our music and after making a very decent demo, began playing on
sixth street at the Metro, starting on a Monday night, and then working up
to the Friday night slot. Beg To Differ was truly becoming a band. Ok, now
you can clap. CLAP.
